Carry out duties associated with the manufacturing and repairing of heavy duty lifting and handling equipment.
The following qualifications are required and experience preferred, but not essential as training can be given:-
Essential qualifications and experience required:
*Mechanical Apprenticeship in Engineering
*Be competent in carrying out the function of your trade/skills relating to mechanical aspects of fitting requirements on lifting and handling equipment.
*Have the ability and skill to operate equipment, relating to your trade or training.
*Be able to carry out work using own initiative.
* To undertake all types of mechanical, repair and replacement of parts on equipment to ensure that we provide our customer with a reliable, safe and defect free product.
*Advise of any defects/deficiencies in equipment/arrangements that could compromise the Health and Safety of themselves and others.
*Must be able to read engineering drawings.
Knowledge and experience:
*To be a self-motivated individual, able to work on your own initiative.
*Excellent communication andamp; interpersonal skills.
* You will need all-round knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
*Ideally have knowledge of Lifting and Handling Equipment,.
*Hold current FLT Truck Licence.
*Hold Slinging and Rigging certificate.
