REPORTING TO: Group Technical Lead

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Third Party Support Personnel

JOB PURPOSE: To provide first line technical support to the full range of IT and Communications systems across all sites. To install, configure and monitor performance of all hardware and systems infrastructure.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Assist in the installation and configuration of Servers
? Specification, installation and configuration of Desktop and Laptop PC's
? Installation of applications software for both Server and Desktop systems
? Installation and configuration of network devices and infrastructure
? Installation and configuration of peripheral devices and accessories
? Monitoring and maintaining all employed hardware and systems
? Ensuring that regular system backups are taken and stored in accordance with policy
? Ensuring the security and integrity of systems by applying the IT Security Policy
? First-list line support of all the above systems and logging of support issues with third party maintenance providers.
? Ensuring a speedy and effective response to support and development issues by monitoring and escalation procedures where necessary
? Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults;
? Ad-hoc training of users on any systems in uses and the recommendation of external when appropriate
? To perform other such duties as generally correspond to the nature of the position and its level of responsibility.

3. Providing full support across all sites to the Technical Lead

QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:
* ITIL Foundation Qualified
* Three or more years' experience in an IT Support Function
* Experience in Engineering or Manufacturing environment
