23rd Jul 2012

L-R Stephanie, Jack, Fortune Cookies CEO Justin Cooke and Azra

Our consultants at Syntax Digital were kindly invited to Fortune Cookies Summer Party on Saturday 21st July which was held at Bayham Hall in Lamberhurst, Kent.

Global digital agency, Fortune Cookie was founded by CEO Justin Cooke in 1997 with the aim of “improving the digital world to make the real world a better place”. On every platform, channel and device, Fortune Cookie’s 200 digital professionals are enriching the lives of 2.5 billion users in over 200 regions worldwide, who like, share, touch and click on their work every year. Working 24/7 across five continents, they deliver real results for the world’s biggest and best-loved brands.

Following on from one of the wettest June’s on record, the day was blessed with a glorious afternoon of weather at Bayham Hall which is a magnificent Grade II Listed country mansion commissioned by the Marquess of Camden as the family countryseat and built around 1870 by George Trollope.

Fortune Cookie entertained their guests at the Summer Party with various amusements including, a Big Top and circus skills, a petting zoo, hot air balloon rides, face painting and much more. The party-goers were also treated a range of food including a gourmet barbeque and hog roast which suited all tastes and ages.

Syntax Digital consultants went along to the annual event with the FISH! Philosophy in the back of their minds. They discussed it with Justin Cooke who thought it would be a great idea for them to come up with their own unique fish names which meant something to them. The idea follows on from everyone at Fortune Cookie being named after a biscuit! The idea has since been implemented at Syntax. Our consultants will now go after by following names:

Azra:               a “Piranha” because she is hungry for success

Jack:               a “Clown Fish” following on from the advice of Justin Cooke CEO from Fortune Cookie

Stephanie:      a “Nurse Shark” as she considers herself dangerous but caring

Nick:               a “Barracuda” because he caught one once and ate it

Syntax Digital Manager, Azra Akhtar commented on the day, saying: “It was an honor for me and team to join the Fortune Cookie employees, friends and family at this event. It was such a well-run afternoon which was enjoyed by all. It was a pleasure for Syntax Digital to participate in a such a great event and to be part of such a prominent event in Fortune Cookie’s Calendar and those who weren’t there seriously missed out. A big thankyou to Fortune Cookie from us all.”
