Syntax Consultancy attend the Graduate Engineer Show

Syntax attended the Graduate Engineer Show yesterday, at the wonderful Roundhouse on Pride Park.

It proved to be an excellent day, and all the Grads who attended were a pleasure to talk to. Our Gran Turismo challenge proved to be very popular – The winning laptime of 1.35.809 was set by John Franklin, studying a Masters in Engineering at Leeds Uni. He is the proud winner of an I Pad Mini!

Syntax’s stand was busy all day, and we really enjoyed talking to grads about specific roles we have live at the moment, career prospects and paths, what makes a good CV, interview techniques – basically anything career related!

Attending from Syntax were Jarred Smith (Engineering Recruitment Consultant), Gwilym Walker (Engineering Recruitment Consultant), Charlotte Clowes (IT Recruitment Consultant), and Sarah Gibson (Operations Manager).

Engineering Recruitment Consultant Jarred Smith said, “We had a very successful day yesterday – meeting everyone was great. Some of our clients are going to be very excited to hear about some of the Grads we met!”

Roger Frost, Managing Director of Syntax, said – “We are very proud to support the next generation of Engineers in Britain. There is a huge skills shortage in the industry, and we are doing everything we can to ensure the next generation have all they need to help address that gap. Events like the Graduate Engineer Show are vital to promote the fantastic careers that all Engineering Grads could have. “
