SAFERjobs is a non-profit organisation created by the Metropolitan Police to raise awareness and combat criminal activities that may be attempted on job seekers, people working with the recruitment industry or through services provided by the recruitment industry. The ultimate aim is to protect job seekers and Agency Staff from exploitation.
SAFERjobs is supported by GOV UK and works with several Government organisations to protect people searching for work or working within the recruitment sector. Partners of SAFERjobs include the Metropolitan Police, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Trading Standards, City of London Police, the Home Office and Action Fraud. They also have a Patron at the House of Lords and an MP supporting the campaign.
In previous years 0.75m job seekers have visited the SAFERjobs website for help and advice and information provided to SAFERjobs has led to enforcement action, website takedowns and the removal of fake Jobs.
